Look through a selection of projects we’ve carried out this year below.
We were chosen by operator c2c Rail to carry out extensive upgrades at East Ham depot, in east London. The works were required to enable the servicing and maintenance of c2c’s new fleet of Aventra 720/6 trains. Spencer M&E also replaced a life expired CET system for c2c at its Shoeburyness depot, in Essex.

We were contracted to design, construct and enter in to service a new modular style track crossing at Etches Park Depot, working in collaboration with our client East Midlands Railway. The upgrade works allow 18m long artic lorries to deliver heavy components into the depot. The crossing includes lockable barriers and a locally controlled crossing control system.

We’re carrying out works at Tyseley Depot on behalf of West Midlands Trains and key stakeholder Network Rail. The £36m enhancement project involves removing the existing track in preparation for a 30m extension to the existing Underframe Cleaning (UFC) building.
Following completion of the building the track will be re-laid including sections of concrete track slab and concrete aprons. Further mechanical and electrical works will also be carried out including ventilation, shore supplies and mobile gantry cranes.

Following our tracking crossing project, Spencer Group were awarded further works to provide enhancements to the main shed at Etches Park Depot. The works involve the design and construction of a new 5 car UFC and Office building.
